Wynns Coonawarra Estate Michael Shiraz is the winery's best of vintage Shiraz. Drawn from top Coonawarra vineyards, it is made only in years when exceptional quality fruit is available.

The first Michael Shiraz was a one off release from the 1955 vintage. David Wynn noticed the outstanding quality of a particular parcel of Shiraz and decided to bottle it separately, naming it Michael after his first son.

It was revived with the 1990 vintage. After fermentation, the wine matures in a mix of French oak hogsheads and barriques for 14 months, typically a small percentage new.

Vibrant red purple, Wynns Coonawarra Estate Michael Shiraz has sophisticated silky texture with bright red fruits, dusty French oak, fine tannins and a succulent line of acidity.

Shiraz in classic Coonawarra style. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
